Beginner’s Review of AEQ Pro+ Pod Kit

As a relatively new vaper looking to switch from disposable vapes for cost and environmental reasons, I needed a beginner-friendly pod system. I just wanted something simple, lightweight, and long-lasting - and I believe I’ve found that in the AEQ Pro+ Pod Kit.

Now, I’ll start by saying I’m not an expert. This isn’t a technical review. Vaping, for me, is relaxing and provides a bit of hand stimulation. I do it for enjoyment, without the technical knowledge that seasoned vapers may have.

So, if you relate to my situation, hopefully, you’ll appreciate this jargon-free review!

AEQ Pro+ in Review

Since I’m used to the intense flavor and throat hit of disposables, I needed a vape pod and liquids with high concentrations. If you're tired of spending money on disposables (which you’ll have to do less of soon anyway with the incoming ban), I highly recommend an uncomplicated pod device like this one. Not only do rechargeable pod systems last longer and feel more satisfying, but you can also swap out your flavors as often as you need, which is something I’ve come to appreciate as someone who gets bored easily with flavours!

Battery life: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I vape quite consistently throughout the day, and I found the AEQ Pro + really does last 2 full days as claimed in the product description. While the device does come with a travel cable, I like that I can boost the battery easily with a regular type-C charger.  The thing I love about this pod system is that it charges to full percentage really quickly, so I don’t have to wait for ages before I get my next hit! 

Aesthetics:⭐⭐⭐⭐

While the look of a vape might not be everyone’s priority, I treat mine like an accessory - so red was perfect for me. I really like the bold colour of the AEQ Pro+ — it’s bright enough to remain visible in my big work bag (nothing worse than being unable to locate your vape when you’re craving it!).. The semi-transparent casing also gives a bit of a peek at the internal parts — which makes it look cool and techy. I’d personally maybe opt for one with less visibility of the circuitry for a feminine vibe. 

Size and Portability: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The AEQ Pro+ sits comfortably somewhere between compact and chunky. It’s small enough to fit in your pocket, and the boxy shape makes it feel solid and less likely to slip out. If you like your device to feel substantial and slightly weighted, this device is perfect. It feels nice in your hand, but there’s no discretion if that’s something you’re worried about (personally, I don’t mind). 

For those who prefer ultra-lightweight and discreet, I’d recommend the AEQ Ultra. 

Ease of use: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was the first device I’ve owned, so I thought setting it up might be hard. But the manual was easy enough to understand, and it was honestly a breeze. You just pop in the pod once you’ve filled it and activate it by clicking the side button 5 times. Once I figured out how to adjust the wattage, it was as easy as pie to use. I really liked having the ability to control the wattage, as I could fine-tune the power to suit my vaping style.I The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is because I had to get used to using the single button for multiple functions (like adjusting the wattage and turning the device off), but once you figure it out, it’s simple, and the LCD screen gives you all the info you need.

Flavour performance: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

VPZ advertise this device as one with ‘rich-flavour delivery’, and I absolutely agree. The advanced mesh coils integrated into the  AEQ Pro pods enhance the flavour notes, blessing me with that full-bodied taste that I enjoy so much. It’s intense without overpowering, I found that the sweeter e-liquid flavours like Fizzy Cherry Cola Bottles tasted delicious. If you’re anything like me, you’ll love how the maximum flavour helps keep sugar cravings at bay!

Vapour production: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Cloud size isn't important to me, but for anyone who does care about it, this device definitely delivers. The pod holds plenty of liquid, and the built-in coil helps produce thicker, satisfying clouds. The adjustable wattage feature really comes in handy for this - I set mine to 15.5W, which gave me the ideal balance of flavour and vapour without feeling too harsh. The vapor is consistently smooth, which I really appreciate - I’m not into harsh vapes that leave me in coughing fits! This one’s perfect for me; having control over the strength makes the experience so much more comfortable.

One thing I'd say is I am not left with that tickly, sore throat that I'm often left with with disposables, and no more dry mouth! 

Overall, I’m super happy with this device as my first transition vape from disposables. I definitely wouldn’t go back! If you’re a beginner, don’t miss the AEQ pod kits. I highly recommend picking up a beginner kit to get started, especially if you’re like me and don’t really know what you’re looking for or need!
