No. IQOS TEREA tobacco sticks are only compatible with the IQOS ILUMA series of devices.
What is the difference between IQOS TEREA sticks and traditional cigarettes?
The main difference between the two is that IQOS TEREA sticks are heated, rather than burned. This eliminates the production of smoke, ash, or the strong smell associated with cigarettes. IQOS produces 95% less harmful chemicals compared to cigarettes. However, it must be noted that this does not necessarily equal a 95% reduction in risk [1].
What are the differences between IQOS TEREA sticks and e-cigarettes?
Though IQOS devices and vapes are both smoking alternatives, there is a distinct difference between what they offer.
IQOS TEREA sticks are heated tobacco products. They still use tobacco and nicotine as their main ingredients. These sticks are heated up, instead of being burned, to deliver a familiar tobacco experience for smokers.
Meanwhile, e-cigarettes and vaping devices don’t contain tobacco. Instead, they heat up what is called an e-liquid, producing the vapour that is inhaled. Usually containing nicotine, e-cigarettes also provide a similar experience to cigarettes for smokers looking to quit.

What are the differences between TEREA sticks and HEETS sticks?
Although TEREA and HEETS sticks serve the same function, they both do so in incredibly different ways. This is due to the difference in heating technology used.
HEETS sticks are heated via IQOS’ patented HeatControl technology. This technology is inside older IQOS devices and uses a ceramic sensor blade that heats up the tobacco.
TEREA sticks are heated by IQOS’ new SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM. This means the ILUMA doesn’t use a blade. Instead, each TEREA stick has a metal heating element located inside, heating the tobacco from within.
How do I use IQOS TEREA sticks?
Presuming you have an IQOS ILUMA device, using IQOS TEREA sticks is a breeze. Pop a TEREA stick in your ILUMA, and your ILUMA will activate automatically. If you’re using an ILUMA ONE, press the button for at least one second until your kit vibrates and the status light pulses. Once the light stays fixed and your kit vibrates, you’re good to go.
